Hmm? Which one did you visit and what time of day - you don't see the relevance of this question? Well, for one thing, any yahoo can write a letter of complaint expecting some kind of compensation - they need the facts so that your claim seems valid. Also, so they can contact that store and let them know of the complaint so that maybe the manager can correct the issue rather then allowing some other customer to wind up with a hair in their sub. But, as most entitlement whores - you only care about yourself and no one else.

Me Cave Man
Money Back!
Also, somehow, nasty never seems like an appropriate word for a letter like this.

In other words--you already made use of the free sub coupon they sent you three months ago?

How in the heck does a hair get in your Sub? That is unheard of. I used to think that was impossible. You should get $114,000 for your pain and suffering. I don't think I could ever eat there again knowing that a HAIR could possibly get in my Sub!
I also cannot believe they would ask you any questions and not just send you your $114,000 in a gold plated Cadillac the next day no questions asked.
Damn you Subway! More like FLUB-way. Ah ha ha ha ha.

Okay first of all, you waited 3 months for one hair? come on now, each and every restaurant I can guarantee has had at least one hair in the food complaint, but I would say its pretty hard to do anything if you arent ready to go back there and let them correct the problem as you expect them too!
Now calling corporate is not a bad idea, but again, if its only one isolated incident, there is not much they can do for you as you REFUSED to give them the time of day/and which location you visited!
Now wouldnt it have been easier for corporate subway to FIX the problem if they had something to go on, or are you expecting them to close down all subways because you found 1 hair in your sub, and decided that going back and letting them correct the problem by either giving you a new sub, or your money back?
Now this sounds more like a scam to me, and you make no effect in trying to hide that fact, No time visited, No location, waiting 3 months, ... Are you that broke that you have to resort to asking for money back from a sub you ate 3 months ago?

"I contacted Subway, all they wanted to know was which one was visited and what time of day."
Ummm.....possibly so they could investigate???? I think that was their way to try and correct your problem.
Good luck on your freebie grab!

You want your money back on your own terms, without returning to the store? How badly do you need the $3?

It doesn't seem like you were willing to allow them to rectify the situation. You shot down any and all possibilities except for them crawling to your home and throwing money at you.
Finding a hair in your food is nasty, but your attitude is even more so.

You waited THREE MONTHS to complain about this and expect them to care about it now?
Methinks this is a scam.
Shenanigans.

I'm soooo confused.
When you called, what did you want them to do? Offering you an exchange (or a refund) seems like the only thing they can do for you? If you're not willing to come in, there's little they can do. Most business like this aren't setup to mail money to people, if that's what you had it mind.
As for when you called corporate... of course they want to know which one/time visited. That's critical information. And, they need to know little else.
Tanya, I think we're a bit confused here.

Common sense would dictate that it would matter for corporate to know the particulars where and when you received your sandwich.
