Subway taking money from people

I went to the subway on Alameda Blvd.in Albuquerque, on august eighth 2012 at 1:35 P.M.where me and my sister got two sandwiches one was a 6 inch turkey and mine was a foot long turkey with bacon which I saw on the board was an added $1.30 which was OK. the lady rang me and my sister up and the total was $12.15 and I repeated to the lady that we had just a regular 6 inch. sub and a foot long with bacon, she said "I know your total comes out to $12.15." Then I took out my phone and used the calculator on it and the total came out to $10.50. sadly this was after we left the restaurant, I didn't want to dispute the cost because there was other people in line there waiting. so around 2:00P.M. later that day I called the General Manager of that store location and he was arguing that there was no proof since I didn't take the receipt. and I kept telling him that the lady that rang us up added over $2.50 to the total and he kept going back and forth saying that it was correct and I kept telling him no it isn't because a 6 inch. sub is only $3.50 and tax in New Mexico is less than 7% and the lady charged us $4.75 which is outrageous you cant charge someone a $1.25 in tax I mean that's just ridiculous. I was not able to get anywhere with the General Manager on the phone so I thought why not let the viewers on this website hear about this experience.I know its only a few dollars but I don't want this to happen to another person again.

I would like subway to give me my money back and I would also like subway to give me some discount or something for the future from the trouble I went through with there store and not only them but of all people the General Manager of the restaurant.

Something doesn't add up here. How could you have not gotten a
receipt when you thought you were being overcharged? It doesn't make
sense that you thought you were being overcharged but didn't get a
receipt to see what the charges were.

Since you did't get the receipt, how can you even prove what you
bought, or that you were even there?

Next time get the receipt so you can see what the charges were.
Especially since there was a question about what you were charged. In
the retail business receipts are necessary, get one for everything.
You just never know when you will need it.
