I will start by saying before this incident I never had a problem with Tmobile at all. Unfortunately because of their new policy of doing away with unlimited data and not grandfathering in current subscribers I was forced to leave to another company. I was a customer since 2003 and I renewed in 2/10 to get a new phone. I ported out on 3/13/12. Because of this port out date I am being hit with a full bill of $77 for 3/10/12 to 4/9/12 instead of just 3 days. When I ported out on 3/13 after it was complete I called Tmobile to verify my account was closed and what my final bill was. I was told I owed the last bill I already had (not that I would get another bill) and my account was closed. Needless to say when I got a new bill for a full month I was shocked and annoyed so first I did a chat to get it resolved and the rep was less than helpful. I was told no they can't prorate service when you leave yet there is no problem prorating when I start. Finally I had to call today 5/22 and after being bounced around I got a rep who advised about the terms of service in a broad spectrum. I asked him about me specifically and he couldn't tell me any of my specific info such as when I started nor could he offer me a copy of what I signed so I can see what terms apply to me since the website has multiple versions depending when you started. Finally I asked for a supervisor who explained the terms of service again and was able to give me info. Basically I renewed before the TOS stated about porting out and being liable for the entire month but he didn't want to hear it. Regardless of the TOS I find it completely ridiculous and questionable that I am being charged an entire month of service when I only had it for 3 days into the new cycle (and quite frankly I probably didn't even use my phone those 3 days)and they try to justify it by hiding a clause in the TOS that quite frankly is so confusing and long that it serves no purpose.

What I want is my account closed and zeroed out so I don't owe anything. I want a final bill sent showing this zero balance. I also think that for anything pertaining to being charged a fee or penalty (such as porting out) that it be clearly explained during the signup or renewal phasey just like how the ETF is explained.

" was forced to leave to another company."

How were you forced? Or do you mean you disliked the turn of events
and CHOSE to leave?

"rep was less than helpful"
I always like seeing how people are called "unhelpful" when they
answer the questions... and the answer is "no"

Cos... what, they're only good employees if they say "yes" to
everything?

Sometimes the answer is "no".

You may want to read the contract again.
