lied to by the representative of tmobile.

ok this is the deal. me and my fiance went to walmart to consider a cell phone company. we were very very impressed with sprint/nextel and even more impressed with alltel. the customer service rep was leaning us more towards tmobile by telling us that if we go with tmobile that they were offering a wal mart gift card that could be used to pay our FIRST months bill. and that we would recieve this card in 3-4 weeks now we are on 6 weeks and our service has been suspended due to ths card never arrived and when we question tmobile about this they tell me that we are looking at an additional 6-8 weeks before recieving the card. dont sound like we will see this rebate in time for the first bill. after not recieving the card in the aloted time frame we assumed that the rebate would be just aplied to our account NOT true.

more lies

this is part 2 we were also told by the same represenitive that we would have unlimited texting fr an additional $5 per month. here again NOT true in actuality it is and additional $19.95 per month a far cry from $5 per month

the automated part of customer care

we are asked about 3 times if we want help in english to press 1 and every time we do then who do we get on the line a chinese persont that is so slow with english that she doesnt undertand the complaints nor can she explain the issues due to her lack of english skills

1. i feel that tmobile needs to restore our service and provide us with a full month service at no charge. then they need to start teaching there represenatives to provide accurate information to potential customers.

2. they should either lock in the price of $5 per month for the unlimited texting that we were told would be the cost

3. give us a english competent person when we press 1

4. we would also like tmobile to own up to there mistakes and stop making us believe one thing to give another then when we ask to be relieced they have us caught by the short hairs i feel we deserve an appology from the ceo himself and our bill taken care of like was promiced by there represenative and they can reach us at

i just love hearing about people who think that they were lied to by
tmobile when they go to target walmart carstoys amazon etc... as if
you think about it what to they sell?? everyhting and they are not
trained in specific sales areas for all of their products. hell.. in
walmart most of the time the wirless employee is from shoes filling in
for the acutal rep who klnows what is going on.

so i would recommend goin to walmart talking to a manager about this
as it is a WALMART Card not a tmobile card and is a WALMART promo.

in regards to your bill you signed a contract and terms & conditions
stating you will pay your bills on time! this means you cannot
penalize tmobile for walmarts error!

pay your bill complain to walmart and go to DIRECT T-Mobile stores!!!!

Other then the comment about the automated system which every company
uses and they all stink, this complaint should be address to Walmart
and not T-Mobile. From what I gather it was a Walmart employee that
sold you on the plan and gave you all sorts of incorrect information.

You say your service got suspended because the gift card never
arrived. How is this possible? Did you not pay your bill because you
were waiting for the gift card in order to afford the first payment?

Correct me if I misunderstand your post. It sounds like you spoke to a
Walmart employee who signed you up with T-Mobile and told you about
the free Walmart gift card. If so, then your complaint should be with
Walmart and not with T-Mobile. I have learned to never trust any
employee at a kiosk or authorized reseller of any cellular service
provider. If I need pricing information on service plans and/or phone
I go directly to the provider's website.

Also, why didn't you simply pay your first bill when you got it? Why
did you wait and assume that the Walmart gift card would pay for it? I
believe you cannot use a Walmart gift card to pay for cellular
service. I don't know why the employee led you to believe that. It
seems to me the Walmart employee you spoke to was the one who was
lying, not T-Mobile.

Good luck getting this resolved. In the meantime, I suggest paying
your bill to get your service reinstated.
