Unacceptable Experience at your store

Posted Sun January 18, 2009 12:00 pm, by Kim P. written to Taco Bell

Last night I purchased over twenty dollars in food with my children at the drive-thru at the Plant City store and when the cashier handed me the drinks that were in a drink carrier, she let go of it before I had a good grip on them and all four drinks toppled off of the tray and spilled all over me and my floorboard. I had had my car cleaned professionally only three hours before, so you can imagine my dismay as the sticky soda syrup made a layer on top of the carpet in my vehicle. The girl taking my order then turned to make more drinks laughing at the situation, after slamming thew window closed. She did not apologize for the mess she had created, and I had to ASK for napkins before she would give them. I pulled around and walked in to get my food. I talked to the manager and he was in training and not sure what to do but told me he would call me later. I picked up my food and went home. I got home and found my order was not right, at ALL. I drove back to Taco Bell and got a refund for the meal. S--- was the cahiers' name. The entire staff was horrible towards the sitution and didn't even bother to stiffle their laughter.

It will take a lot of time and response for me to consider Taco Bell as a place where I would like to spend my money in the future. I would like my car cleaned at Taco Bell's expense. I think S--- should be reconsidered as an employee - my eleven-year-old would have been more professional.

I'm sorry she laughed at the situation, that was wrong of her. But
you may be too quick to accuse her of causing the accident. SHE let
go of it before YOU had a "good grip"? Why didn't you have a "good
grip" from the getgo? It's really not that difficult.

Most of the complaints I see here are silly and frivolous. This one is
not. I second the suggestion that you get in contact with Yum! Brands
directly and make this issue known.

or have we heard complaints about this SPECIFIC Taco He** before?

I don't know why, but Plant City sounds familiar to me - like that one
where the mother claimed they were all on drugs and someone was peeing
in the dumpster when the daughter got food late at night?

Apparently these employees are either morons or are indeed all stoned.

I know exactly how you feel, and I think that you are very accurate on
believing that they should do something about the cleaning.I would not
say that had the cashier been apologetic about the situation and done
the right thing, since accidents do happen but seeing as how she was so
rude and just shut the door so she could laugh.Since they did give you
the money back for the meal I think it is good as it gets for the to
be honest.I know that most places are bound by customer service and
Taco Bell dosen't seem to care much.I am in Inverness Florida and I
would go to Taco Bell with my kids all the time because of the hours I
worked and everytime there was a problem with our food, half the time
they would just for get to give us half of our order, the food was made
totally wrong or I was charged way to much.I never spent under $30.00
everytime I went and to have problems every single time was plain
unexplainable. They don't know the meaning of customer service.I hope
they do give you the money for the cost of your car cleaning and do
something to the employee, she deserves to lose her job but to be
honest I doubt they are going to do anything. There are alot of other
places you can go and spend your money and they will appreciate it.

You should copy and past a copy of this letter on to the Taco Bell
contact from on their website. Taco Bell and all other Yum! brands
subsidiaries ALWAYS have gotten back to me when I use their form. The
manager is usually in touch within a few days, and in the case of Taco
Bell, I have received coupons on numerous occasions. This sounds like
poor customer service, and the general manager will want to hear about
it. The PFB email might not get through but their contact form
automatically forwards it to the store based on the number your input.

That exchange usually takes place somewhere between the window and the
car. If you didn't have a good grip, wouldn't the drinks have fallen
to the ground outside your car?

I had my wifes car professionally cleaned, she spills her coffee quite
frequently with a tan interior.

Part of the deal of getting it cleaned was no drinks in the car.

Why you would get the car cleaned only 3 hours prior and risk it going
through a drive through is beyond me.

Good Day
