Allergic Reaction

Upon initiall asking to take my order the employee was EXTREMELY rude and had little knowledge of the menu items. As I am allergic to onions I specifically asked for an item to be prepared without onions. The employee then informed me that ALL food items are prepared without onions. Being long-time customer of Taco Bell, I knew this statement was inaccurate and therefore asked for the items to be prepared without onions, green onions, or chives in order to illeminate any allergic reations. Once I arrived at my destination and proceeded to eat the items I ordered I discovered that all the items had EXTRA onions!
I will expect to hear from someone in your office regarding how this could have possible happened and further what measures will be implemented to assure this does not happen again as some food allergies have side effects that can prove terminal!
Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Michaela

I would suggest if you have serious food allergies that you avoid fast food restaurants in general. Taco Bell's food items are made in advance and as far as I know, they don't take custom orders unless it's a request to not add additional onions, lettuce, cheese, etc.

I have to agree with most of the other posters. I used to work at Taco Bell years ago, and sometimes during rushes, a few onions would accidently get into the lettuce or tomatoes while employees were making items.
If you have a severe allergy to onions, you may need to avoid places like Taco Bell.

Taco Bell's ingredient list is posted at http://www.yum.com/nutrition/documents/tb_ingredient_statement.pdf.
Pretty much nothing, except desserts, doesn't contain onion powder and dehydrated onions.
What do you usually get at Taco Bell?

This is like being allergic to shellfish and going to a seafood restaurant.

What's interesting to note is that onion powder is an ingredient is many of their items.
Anyway, Michela, sorry to hear about this. Sounds like someone was having fun at your (potentially very serious) expense. How can this happen? It can happen because someone didn't care enough to listen to your request. Simple as that. And there is NOTHING that corporate can do to prevent this, really.
However, since you didn't put the location of the store (unless there is only one is Florissant), this isn't really going to go anywhere. It's VERY rare for the company to send "notice" to every store.
You should speak to the manager.

Didn't know Taco Bell made *anything* without onions--except maybe the sour cream as it comes straight from the carton. Just kidding, I'm sure there are some items which do not include onions. But, if you have such an allergy to onions, why do you go to a restaurant that has them by the boat load? How is an employee RUDE when asking to take an order? Did he yell at you?

If you have such a bad allergy to onions, why didn't you check your food before leaving the place, then you could have gone in and confronted the manager about this?
