Taco Bell Employees are Lazy and Rude

On Saturday, January 12th, 2008, my friend's band was playing a show in Virginia. The show ended around 11 p.m., and we wanted to grab some quick eats before the long trek home to Pennsylvania.
We stopped at Arby's off of Azaela Avenue in Richmond, VA, and upon seeing absolutely nothing on the menu I wanted, my friend and I hopped in the band van and went through the drive-thru next door at Taco Bell/Pizza Hut.
There were about three cars in front of us, and we waited almost 15-20 minutes before our turn to place our order. We just thought perhaps a lot of people called off, and they were very short-staffed, so we were patient.
When we pulled up to give our order, no one greeted us. We waited a few minutes and tried speaking into it-nothing. No one said anything. We waited a few more minutes-still NOTHING. I hopped out of the van to see if there was anyone at the window waiting for food. There was no one at the window, but there were about 5 employees standing around doing absolutely nothing.
We pulled around to the pick-up window. There was no one there, like they were hiding from us. We yelled into the window to get someones attention, and finally, a young woman came over.
We asked if the speaker was not working, and she was rude to us and said "well, it was working for the people in front of you." We asked if we could place our order at the window, keep in mind, by this point we were waiting for around 20-25 minutes. 25 minutes at a drive-thru?!? She said "ummm, I don't know, I will have to check with my manager." And then said to us "no, he said you have to go around the window again." Furious, I said "are you serious?!? whatever." And we did NOT get food.
We are under the impression that the employees saw the van and thought it was packed with people, and they were too lazy to do work and serve us.
We were on a time schedule, we had a 4 hour drive ahead of us. I left hungry, and possibly the most mad I have ever been at a restaurant. Not to mention the employee that waited on us was extremely dis-respectful.
Hire a new manager, and teach their employees that Taco Bell does not pay them to be lazy and rude.

You are just assuming that they purposely ignored you because they were lazy and did not want to serve a van full of people. But it is not their fault you went hungry. You could have eaten somewhere else or as they suggested gone back in line.

People are always in the greatest hurry when getting the things they definitely don't need (and in this case, wasted phenomenal amounts of time on).
Admittedly, the service sucked. Realistically, it's your own damn fault for doing that four hour drive on an empty stomach, since you evidently never thought of skipping back over to Arby's.

If you were on a time schedule, why did you wait so long? I wouldn't have even waited five minutes!

I'm wondering if there were cars behind you, and if they were able to take their orders? Were you the very last car? I don't see why they couldn't have taken the order at the window, and why they couldn't just quickly check to make sure the speaker was working.
Also, I would have just gone inside at that point rather than fuss with the speaker or worry that another line would form and instead of leaving hungry since you had already stopped at Arby's and didn't want anything there too.
