Purveyor of all that is cheap, yet chic, fast-growing Target Corporation has bulked up by slimming down. The nation's #2 discount chain (behind Wal-Mart) now operates nearly 1,600 Target and SuperTarget stores in 47 states, as well as an online business called Target.com. Target and its larger grocery-carrying incarnation, SuperTarget, have carved out a niche by offering more upscale, fashion-forward merchandise than rivals Wal-Mart and Kmart. After years of struggling to turn around its Marshall Field's and Mervyns department stores divisions, the discounter sold them both in 2004. Target also owns apparel supplier The Associated Merchandising Corp. and issues Target Visa and its proprietary Target Card. |

Dear Target Staff
I wanted to thank you for being open late on Sunday nights. I was coming back from skiing with my family(wife & 2 kids) embarking on an over 2 hour drive back to LI when I came into Kingston(NY) & had stopped @ McDonalds & my temperature guage shot all the way up. My coolant was all gone. I stopped in your Kingston store to buy anti freeze. If you had not been...

Concerning Customer Relations Reference number 144 310 312 3: I am a teacher in the Metro Nashville Public School system in Nashville, TN. I was trying to buy a vacuum cleaner (a Dyson DC25 Animal model on sale for $439.00) for our school library. Target had this model on sale for $50.00 cheaper than anyone else. According to Tennessee State Law, public schools do not have to have a government...

I had registered at Target for my babyshower along with one other place. When the shower came around I actually ended up with 2 car seats. I did not get a gift receipt with them and they were not on my registry. One of the carseats however did have a Target shipping label on the box so I took it to the store and tried to return it or at least get store credit. Target told me that because it was...

Compliment on a Target Store |

I love how everytime i go into a Target store i dont have to wait in line for more than five min. Right away you will see the head cashier asking for back-up. It is not like Wal-mart that you spend 15 to 20 min in line. Also i love how i walk through the aisle and the employee are right there avaiable. They right away ask "Can I help you find Something?" If you shop in a Target store...

I live in Ontario Canada. Went to Niagara Falls for an overnight stay. Crossed the Border and went to Target Niagara Falls to purchase an Irobot Roomba remote vacuum cleaner. I was looking for a specific version - 530 (as I have researched it). Delighted to find one reduced (as it looked like last one in store as they had many more of the 400 series). It was 'red sticker' from 299 to 209. It...
