Purveyor of all that is cheap, yet chic, fast-growing Target Corporation has bulked up by slimming down. The nation's #2 discount chain (behind Wal-Mart) now operates nearly 1,600 Target and SuperTarget stores in 47 states, as well as an online business called Target.com. Target and its larger grocery-carrying incarnation, SuperTarget, have carved out a niche by offering more upscale, fashion-forward merchandise than rivals Wal-Mart and Kmart. After years of struggling to turn around its Marshall Field's and Mervyns department stores divisions, the discounter sold them both in 2004. Target also owns apparel supplier The Associated Merchandising Corp. and issues Target Visa and its proprietary Target Card. |

Return of PJ's |
by Kathy R. of Norwood, Pennsylvania written to Target Posted Sat January 28, 2012 11:19 am 14 replies, Last Updated: Wed February 8, 2012 1:23 pm |

This is my second letter to you with this situation. I brought a pair of pj's for a friend's daughter for Christmas. They didn't fit and when I went to return them after Christmas I couldn't because the receipt was over ninety days old. So this means that I can't start my Christmas shopping and taking in for days after Christmas when I want to.
I can see this policy unless it s a Christmas...

Return of a Christmas gift. |
by Kathy R. of Norwood, Pennsylvania written to Target Posted Tue January 17, 2012 10:44 am 5 replies, Last Updated: Wed January 18, 2012 1:08 am |

I brought a Christmas present for a friends daughter. The girl didn't like it so I went to return it after Christmas. The store wouldn't take it back because it was over ninety day.
So in order to do Christmas shopping at your store I would have to wait less then ninety days so I could return it if there is a problem with it. This is unacceptable for people who like to get there shopping...

Was unable to buy (or even locate) an item in the weekly ad |

In the Target weekly ad (which expires today, 12/03/2010), there is an item advertised that I was looking to get - a game+controller combo for PS3. I checked via the website, and all Targets around me showed in stock. Lucky? I think not.
I visited one Target last night, and nothing. The rep I talked to said they could find no evidence of the item in their system - basically, as if they had...

Lack of customer care at Target pharmacies |

I have used Target pharmacy to fill the prescriptions of all four members of my family for the past several years. I love the fact that Target automatically adds stoppers to liquid children's prescriptions (allowing me to give the correct dosage without a mess).
My youngest daughter was recently diagnosed with pneumonia. I was shocked to discover that one of the prescriptions I filled last...

Expect More/Pay Less or Expect Less? |

Purchased Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7. The game has a visible scratch all around the disk and will not play. I attempted to exchange for another copy, but there are no more in stock. I requested a refund, but the policy will not allow a refund, exchange only.
I'd be happy with any of the following.
1. Store Credit
2. Ship one over from another store
3. Take my name and offer to phone me...
