Horrible Experience at Target

I am a long time customer and loyal stock holder in the Target company; however, my most recent experiences have left me completely infuriated. I feel the need to share, out of hope that you will be able to prevent this from happening to other customers and hope that you can do something to help right the situation for me. This issue has been going on for far too long and the frustration and time I have already invested in this is far beyond acceptable.

In March I purchased $800 of electronics in your Target in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At that time the sales representative at the electronics department convinced me to sign up for a Target Card in order to receive 5% back.

At that time I was informed that since the card was not issued in store, I would need to return when I received my credit card in the mail. The card was mailed to my New York address, while I was physically in Florida. I contacted to store regarding the 5% back and I was instructed to get my card first. When I returned to NY I activated my credit card and returned to the Florida location where I purchased the card. I was looking forward to finally getting the promised 5% refund. At this time I was told that I needed to return to the store within 24 hours to void the transaction, but I explained that I was never told of this. Then I spoke with a manager and customer service supervisor who originally helped me in March and instructed me to retrieve the new card.

At this time I was told that I could no longer qualify for the 5% back because the purchase was made just over 45 days prior. He said that no exceptions could be made, even though the card was mailed to the incorrect address and I was initially promised 5% at the time of purchase. I was instructed to call customer service via phone to customer relations. I was told that I would receive the money because of the misunderstanding, then I was transferred to a supervisor who said this was untrue and nothing could be done.

I would like an immediate refund of the 5% as promised or I will escalate this complaint on account of the aggravation and time required to pursue the promised refund. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

wow thats just a really funny coincidence that they screwed up and

"the card was mailed to the incorrect address "

Um, I think that's on YOU.

it seems big part of the issue is that you had to wait to retrieve the
card.

since you yourself entered your home address into the application
process, how are they suppose to know to mail it to you in fl?

but even then... 45 days. it's not their fault that it took you 45
days to get this done.
