Unbelieveable

My Husband and I currently moved this last weekend from one apartment to another. We called Time Warner a week in advance to have our service transfered. I gave them the EXACT dates to turn off the cable at the old apartment and when to start it at the new one. I told them to cancel it on May 30th, and had set my appointment to on May 31st to have it installed at the new apartment. They turned my cable off on the 28th! My husband called and asked what was going on , and was told it was a "internal problem" and it would be fixed within an hour. They said they would give us a call.....We received NO phone call, so 2 1/2 hours later my husband called and they said our cable would be up and running the next day. The next day came and no cable. My husband called once again and they said they weren't able to connect our cable until the 31st! That's a day after we wanted it off, not to mention our favorite t.v. show "Lost" has it's season finale Thursday night! So the 31st came around and I sat at the new apartment withmy mother from 1-4 (since that was my appointment time for installation). Four O'clock came and went so I called Time Warner Cable. I sat on hold for 40 minutes!!! -Not exagerating-my cell phone said 40 minutes!Unbelieveable. So I hung up and called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was notified I would have to wait ANOTHER 30 minutes to speak to a supervisor. I'm in the middle of moving so I asked if a supervisor could call me back. I was then told it would take 24-48 hours until I got a phone call back. I said fine and gave him the summary of everything. The man on the phone then said he could probably get someone out right then. I told him "no, I waited 1-4 like I was told, and you guys couldn't give me the courtesy of calling and saying anyone was running late and the customer service was beyond poor. I received a reference # for my call with him and got off the phone. Little did I know I had 2 voicemails. I checked them and one of them was from the first person that put me on hold for 40 minutes! Guess what she said to me? She said "my service guy is at your door, and you're not letting him in." HA! I sat by my door -with my mother-from 1 until that time which was around 530! No one ever came to my door! And the other voicemail was from the service guy saying he was here! I went outside looked at all vehicles-GUESS WHAT? No Time Warner vehicles and no other kind of work trucks were out there! To top it off, The supervisor that was supposed to call me 24-48 hours later has not yet called me! This happened Saturday and this is Tuesday night! This is such horrible customer service it's unbelieveable! I need someone to know of this horrible service, and how to get them their equipment back. MY Husband and I always paid our bill on time and never had trouble until now with Time Warner. My Husband called yesterday for Direct TV, and it's already installed! GREAT customer service Direct TV!

Pick up their equipment, and credit my account of some sort.

The world is not going to end by missing tv for two days. I find it
amusing that you are freaking about about just a television! I don't
let my children watch TV at all. What ever happened to other
activities other than a TV? And there are plenty of families out
there that don't even have a tv, let alone cable. I don't know if you
realize how amusing your "complaint" is.

far worse than this)but they call when the driver is on the way, not
when he is literally at your door. If they can't reach you, they
leave a message and go on to the next stop. It's unfortunate that you
didn't get the calls because you were actually trying to call them. I
hope you got to watch your show at your mum's place.

no one ever came to the door! I sat in my empty apartment just waiting-no knock-no door bell by Autumn B. Wed June 4, 2008 @ 3:23 PM

Right - they call, and if they get no response, they don't bother going by Steve-OH Wed June 4, 2008 @ 4:13 PM

I don't have cable, I see "Lost." It's just regular network TV.
