Poor Customer Service!!!

I bought my son a Razor scooter prior to Christmas. I lost the reciept but attempted to exchange the scooter (it was pink, a boy can't have pink!). I was told that it was a regional policy (cop out by the manager) and he could do nothing.

I just wanted you to know, after 10 years of shopping at your store and spending thousands of dollars on my two boys, I will never enter your store again. Target is much friendlier (anybody is) and has refunded me in the past. They can now have my money, Heck, I will go to K-Mart or Walmart before I spend my money in your store.

Three words: blue spray paint.

On the surface, it seems unfair. You just want an even exchange.
But it isn't unreasonable for a business to require proof that you
actually purchased the item from them.

And I find it odd that you'd refer to an employee following store
policy as a 'cop out'. Most folks would call it 'doing his job'.

Did you buy him a pink one because it was all they had in stock with
the intent on exchanging it after Christmas? If so, you should have
put that receipt in a safe place. Toys R Us's return policy has
gotten quite strict with regard to receipts and it is posted in the
store.

You will find the same at Target and many other retailers.

What would happen if you tried to let a boy have pink?

Would it involve explosions, lightning, plagues of locusts, or Kristy
Swanson winning an Oscar?

I'm intrigued.

Now I want to get a pink scooter and go out looking for a boy on whom
I can force it. I would probably find some way of disguising the pink
so that he didn't flee at my approach. I mean, I would probably
perish in the ensuing nightmare, but at least I would have satisfied
my curiosity.

Razor scooters are marked on the side with a checkmark in a small box
showing what color it is. Vey easy if you don't know that to get the
wrong color.
That being said - their policy requires a receipt or a gift receipt.
How hard is it to keep receipts? If you shop there as much as you say
- you should know the policy.

Why did you buy your son a pink one if boys can't have pink? I'm sure
you know the difference between boys and girls.

This is not a cop out by anyone. You will find that Target, WalMart,
KMart and most other retail stores now have an even strickter return
policies. They (Target) may have refunded you in the past, but you
will find that they have adopted a more stickter return policy. No
receipt no return, period.

You made the mistake, not TRU.

I doubt that you will be missed, at all.

YOU screw up, buy the wrong color and it's the store's fault....
Your money and your bratty attitude won't be missed.

If boys "can't have pink", why did you buy him a pink one? I'd imagine
you already knew your nephews gender. Toys R Us' policy is very
clearly stated. If you didn't keep the receipt, it's no ones problem
but your own. Keep your recipts!
