price matching

I purchased a wii game called trauma which retailed for 49.99. I was later at Game Stop and they had the same title for 29.99. I called toys r us to ask about price matching and I was so rudely told by a certain manager no names being named that they dont do price matching. First of all in this economy I would think toys r us would not want to upset customers who purchased several hundred dollars worth of merchandise. If nothing is done to remedy this I WILL NEVER go to Toys R Us or Babies r us again.
I think that they need to fix this with the refunding the difference whether it be a gift card or a refund.

Well, why didn't you just buy it at GameStop and then return your more expensive game to TRU?
When I Christmas shop early in the season, sometimes I see the items I bought cheaper elsewhere, so I pick them up at the lower price and return the expensive one.
This is provided you kept your TRU receipt.

Gamestop.com listed Trauma Center as being 24.99 used, though I have seen it in store used for 29 as well. Pre owned games wouldn't qualify for price matches anyway. Problem solved.

Why? Because you failed to comparison shop beforehand and are now experiencing buyer's remorse at the price you paid?
You certainly can make the suggestion of price-matching to the store, and maybe they'll take you up on it. And you're certainly free to shop elsewhere from now on. But in the end, the situation is not the store's fault. TRU is free to sell this game for whatever price they want. And you are free to purchase it somewhere else for cheaper.

to do price comparisons is before you make a purchase. However, if you know certain stores do price matching (which I don't use or believe in - it is easy to "shop around" online to figure out whose price is lowest), you could shop at any one of them in case you walk into another on the list and see a lower price.
To demand a store that doesn't do price matching price match for you, as a "special case", is inappropriate. Suggesting that TRU take this as a suggestion as a future policy is fine.
