I purchased a Trac Fone from Meijers on 1-7-08. It is now 1-12-08 and still have no service. The first phone that I purchased at Meijers could not be activated due to them having no numebrs available in my area. Why was this being sold in my area??? Noone can answer that. In te meantime I have spent HOURS on the phone calling from my Cellular One cell phone, using my minutes from that hearing the same routine over and over. Several representative and several supervisors later they shipped me ANOTHER Trac Fone. That was 28 hours ago. NOW I am being told that they have a technical issue with this NEW phone and can't get it active for 48 to 72 hours - THEY HOPE. I keep calling and calling, getting madder and madder, repeating my name, address, e-mail, zip code to everyone I talk to - they don't keep any of this information on their system until your phone is activated. Noone seems to be able to help me. They all are WILLING TO SHIP ME YET ANOTHER phone. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT HAS TAKEN 5 DAYS AND YET ANOTHER 3 TO GET A PRE-PAID WIRELESS PHONE ACTIVATED!!!!!!! I wish to hell that I would have gone with anyone else other than TracFone!!!!GET MY PHONE WORKING ASAP!!!!!! MY SON IS LEAVING WEDNESDAY MORNING AND HAS TO HAVE A PHONE WITH HIM. BY MONDAY P.M. IF THE TRAC PHONE IS NOT WORKING I AM GOING TO BE FORCED TO DRIVE BACK INTO TOWN, WHICH CADILLAC MICHIGAN IS 45 MINUTES - ONE WAY - FROM ME TO PURCHASED SOME OTHER COMPANIES PHONE. AT THAT POINT I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT A NIGHTMARE I WILL BE INTO JUST TRYING TO GET A REFUND FOR MY TRAC FONE AND MY AIRTIME CARD!!!!!

You are dealing with a pre-paid service that you bought in a grocery
store and you are somehow shocked that you are having difficulty??

Have you ever heard the saying, "You get what you pay for?"

It's frustrating to not get something you have paid for.
Since you need a phone right away get another then deal with Trac
Phone and the minutes after your son has left and you can then sit
down and handle this. I am sure once your son is settled it will be a
lot easier to deal with this.

But using caps is not good when writing a letter of complaint. It
actually deters from the complaint instead of bringing it to their
attention, which is what you really intend to do.

If I were on the other end of this letter of complaint, I would just
throw it away. Until you learn to write a business letter and stop
writing like a 12 year old, nobody is going to take you seriously. I
see that you have a son. I hope for his sake that you do not act like
you write. Although I agree w/ you that Tracfone is not giving you
the best service, you certainly are not going to get a professional
response from them until you grow up a little bit.
