Bad Service Quality

I purchased a Samsung R355 phone from Walmart a few weeks ago. The first few days it worked fine. After that text messages I send are not received by most people. Sometimes they go through to some people but others do not get them at all now. I started attaching an Enhanced Delivery Receipt to messages to see if they were received. Receipts from only one contact come back and they come back as a gateway error. I have called customer service twice. They have checked my phone status, parameters, towers in my area and had me input codes. Nothing worked. They say that my phone is fine, it's a problem with the service. I have reset my phone to factory default. That didn't work. Text messaging is the biggest reason why I bought it. I am frustrated and close to dropping this phone and this company! I've had this phone for almost 2 weeks and am already getting fed up. I need assistance with this now please.
Please fix this text messaging issue.
