Union Bank not willing to cooperate with Identity Theft victim

Write a Letter to this Company
A few months ago I received a collections letter in the mail and since I did not recognize the account I pulled my credit report. I was shocked to find that my identity had been stolen and I had 14 derogatory accounts, of those many were for utility companies in Texas where I have never lived. Since then I have followed all the procedures and have spent countless hours providing all the companies with the documents they asked of me to clear my record. All have been very helpful and sympathetic including Bank of America who was really great. But UNION BANK was beyond HORRIBLE. Not only was the agent rude and didn't care at all that they were reporting a charge-off for a charge I never made in the first place (I have proof I was thousands of miles away when the charges were made) but she declined to even look at my documents proving my case. She simply stated "we do not allow disputes after 60 days". She then offered to accept 50% of THEIR charges which is over double the amount of the original disputed amount for which they have not provided any type of statement showing what the fee's they added are. Money not being my main concern I reluctantly agreed so long as they remove the derogatory credit remark. But NO, they won't even do that. Her response "we do not make deals with debtors". When I tried explaining to her for the 3rd time that this isn't even a valid debt, I was over 1,500 miles away from the place the charge occurred and can show her evidence (hotel receipts, employer records, charges, etc.) she again said "as its more than 60 days we cannot process any disputes". I was ready to pull my hair out, its as if she totally blocked out any and all logic and just went with the 2 lines she was taught to respond with. VERY FRUSTRATING! Meanwhile Bank of America, even though it was more than 60 days past the fraudulent activity date, investigated and immediately sent me a letter apologizing for the incident along with a refund all in a very courteous and timely manner. Probably why Bank of America is still around and Union Bank branches are now Chase branches.
I would like Union Bank to do the right thing and cooperate with a victim of Identity Theft. I am not asking for a hand out of any kind. I am simply asking Union Bank to look at the facts and clearly see that the charge was not my charge. If they are unable to go back into their records and don't trust my records as the Union Bank branch that held my account is no longer there, I am even willing to pay the amount of that fraudulent charge as it was only $300 if they would delete the derogatory remark on my credit file.
