My family & I have been flying United Airlines for over 15 years. We saved over 100,000 miles and planned a trip. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency and we could not go. I called United and they told me to fax them a letter and a doctors note. This was last July. To this day they have not refunded me airlines miles or credited me for my paid ticket. After numberous calls & letters, I have not received anything from United.

All, I would like them to do is credit my air miles account. Also, for my paid ticket, they could at least credit me the dollar amount for future travel. I feel like United doesnt value me or my family. After 15 years, I should start flying on the competition.

Uniteds request to have you fax a letter and a doctor's note was so they could get your information and submit it to their review committee. At this point all they are guilty of is lousy follow-up. The rules governing non-refundable tickets are on their website. Evidently their decision is to not make an exception and have not shared it with you. BillR. Reply
