price increase for boxes not in contract

I have a contract with verizon fios bundle.They gave a promotion of a 250 dollar visa fee ridden card.The month after the contract started they increased the rate of the set top box a total of 10.00 for all the boxes.The verizon rep said the box price was not part of my promotion and could raise the rates any time regardless of your contract.I am going to cancel and find some alternative.

Honor my original contract.
