We have just moved in to a new home (condo) that was just complete and unable to get Verizon to update us on when phone or internet service will be install for our home. My household has had Verizon FIOS phone, television (digital cable), and internet for a few years now. I have no complaints about the phone service, nor the internet. However, the television service can be a huge annoyance. If you want to scroll through the channel guide, be prepared for sluggish movement and even moments of freezing. Not too nice when you're rushing to find a show to record....

we have been customers for Verizon Fios for three years and like the service, but now i am laid off and i am trying to find a way for us to stay customers, but you guys don't seem to have any desire to try to help. last year i moved overseas and disconnected my verizon landline. i was told i would receive a last bill in the mail and to pay it off ($115). i never received the final bill before i moved overseas for a few months. upon return in march 2009, i started getting calls from AFNI about collections of this past due balance. i also saw that the 3 credit bureaus had posted a charge off from verizon....

Signed up for local service. Listened to the usual long spiel with multiple offers. Stated"just need basic service". After making a long distance call (where the usual charge by all major carriers is 30-40 cents/min) we were charged $8.00/min.-YES $8.00! All calls to customer service were ineffective. Not only would not negotiate but very rude.
