Billed for Arabic channel

About 3 or 4 months ago my FIOS bill came with a charge for a Arabic channel, $62.18. A channel I would never use or ever want on my TV. When I received the bill I called and told verizon that there must be some error. The supervisor had the bill removed and when the next bill came it had the $62.18 added and I go though the same process to get it removed. Today, my bill came with the charge added again. I talked to the billing department and they said I ordered it and I will pay for it. Two different supervisors told me that they know I never have used this channel and that it's easy to accidently order it by remote. I can't see why Verizon is being this way to a good customer who has been paying about $165.00 a month for phone, tv, and internet for years. Can you help.

I would like Verizon to drop the $62.18 off my bill.

The FIOS "ART (Arab Radio & Television Network)" channel costs extra.
It comes in a package with "Kuwait TV (Kuwaiti government network" for
an extra $16.99/month. While there may be taxes on top of that, it
shouldn't come to $62.18.

So, even if you DID somehow subscribe, this pricing doesn't seem
right.

"Two different supervisors told me...that it's easy to accidently
order it by remote."

I don't have FIOS, but it sounds like you can add new channels via the
remote. It sounds like it's TOO easy to accidentally hit a button the
remote. Seems to me like Verizon should make you go through a few
steps to order, including having a screen that says "Are you sure that
you want to subscribe to XYZ for a monthly costs of $XXX?" and the
default should be "no."

I've heard of people's cats accidentally ordering things this way
(although not specifically FIOS). Or the remote getting sat on,
pressing just the right sequence of buttons. But when this happens
multiple times, all with the same result, I'm willing to bet that
Verizon is goofing up and it's got nothing to do with the remote.

I wonder: can you ask to have the "feature" of being able to add
channels blocked? Certainly, this would be a feature than parents
would want to keep their kids from ordering channels without
permission.

$62.18 for one channel?!!.. is that even possible?

Is it possible that you are actually ordering it by accident? Maybe
you should check into that just to make sure. Otherwise, they need to
fix this problem.

While on hold waiting for Verizon customer service last week, I heard
a very low voice saying "Order Verizon's Arabic channel today because
Allah is great." I recorded it, and I am planning to post it on
YouTube.

I should point out I played it for a friend, but she thought she heard
"oogachuck-a oogachucka, I can't stop this feeling..."

It sounds like an error if it keeps showing up, even after it is
removed. It is strange that they would remove the charge, then, a few
months later, blame it on you even though they can tell you never
watched it. A refund for the amount you were charged is a reasonable
request and I hope they come through with it for you.
