Billing Problem

I called Verizon to cancel my landline service several months ago. I retained their wireless service for myself and my wife. I requested to pay my final bill and was told by the CSR that it hadn't yet been calculated and was directed to a website to settle my account. When I attempted to access the website the system would not take my account number. I tried calling and their CSRs were of no help. While attempting to resolve this a charge off from Verizon has appeared on my credit report this morning. This is especially troubling considering that I am due to close on a house at the end of the month.

I would be more than happy to pay Verizon what I owe provided they immediately take steps to correct my credit report. If they are not willing to do this I will be cancelling my wireless accounts, as well as several business lines that I have with them.
