Old account for 298.00

I have an outstanding bill on my credit report from verizon for 298.00. I have tried calling them to pay it off, I get no help. They said AFNI was handling it, I called them and they said they no longer have it. Yesterday 06/04/2012, I called Verizon again to tell them AFNI Collections does not have it, she put me on hold then my line went dead.

I want to pay this old account in full, its hurting my credit score for purchasing a home.

I'm not sure what the discloser rules are but good luck trying top find where it it. When and if you do find it keep in mind that the notation will remain on your CR for up to 7 years. BillR. Reply
