Install

I am advising you of our residential Fios service that was moved from (Hidden Address) to (Hidden Address) Drive Pittsburgh, PA. On July 24th, 2009 the Tech showed up and installed the service. The service is working properly. However when the Tech was there we were currently moving furniture into the new place. After the install was complete the Tech left. I then looked over to the wall where the connections were made. I am extremely upset that one of your Techs would leave a job site with it looking like this (See attached Picture). At our previous residence the Tech was very professional and even had covers over his boots. Everything was sealed and wires ran and capped off. This was the complete opposite. Why would a Tech leave the job like this? Rush job, or is this the service you get when you move your service from one residence to another? I also was not asked to sign anything after the Tech was finished to keep for my records.
I decided to keep my service with Verizon when we decided on moving. But with work like this, I am discouraged on how many other people are affected by this line of work completed by this Tech. I did however sweep up the wire clippings and an old phone box he left on the ground of my basement and I recently got a new dog who could have got a hold of those wires.

I currently have TV, Phone and Internet and two cell phone services with the Verizon Company. I wish to continue my service with your company but I would also like the box locked up the way it’s supposed to be (Only access by a Verizon employee). I would like compensation for having to deal with writing this letter, and for bringing this information to your attention.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. I will be expecting your installer here to finish the job and to discuss this matter further.
Sincerely,
John

The whole box inside the house is what they used to hook up from the
outside box. It should not have wires hanging out and not loose. The
outside box is locked, so no tampering. The box was secured when he
showed up and the floor was clean, This was not the case after his
install.. But if this is the way Tech's do their installs now day's I
feel bad for other consumers getting Verizon.

I don't understand. The Fios box has two access points, one for the
consumer and one for telco only. They do not lock it for telco access
only since, if there is a problem, you will be asked to check your
side of the line first.
