INACCURATE DEROGATORY REPORTING OF PAID ACCOUNT

Posted Sat May 12, 2012 11:07 am, by Chris M. written to Verizon Wireless (Cell Phones)

Write a Letter to this Company  |  Rate this Company

I ported my cell phone number on 7/30/2012 to another carrier and closed my account. I paid this account in full on July 31, 2010 by check #1037 for 155.35. I recently discovered on my credit reports where you have reported my account as derogatory with $0.00 owing but reporting this account as included in bankruptcy. This account was never included in bankruptcy and you are reporting inaccurate information to the credit reporting bureaus in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Your derogatory reporting has lowered my credit score causing an increase in my insurance rates, denial of credit and lack of eligibility for lower interest rates in the purchase of a car.

I demand that you delete this derogatory accounting immediately from all credit bureaus and provide me with a letter confirming the deletion of these accounts.

Thanks for your help and the link. I've just learned of your site
from another bulletin board and heard nothing but good comments on the
assistance from other members and the positive results obtained by
submitting a letter from your site. Thanks!

Chirs M.,

Maybe your letter will get things done.

However, if that does not work here is a link to the site which spells
out what to do:

Good luck.
