I am a senior citizen who has been a longtime wireless customer. In fact, I have six numbers.
I have never had any internet on any of my phones. When I last had to replace a broken phone, the salesman said that I was entitled to a few phones. I explained that I only changed phones when they broke because it was too hard to learn new phones. I also told him I didn't need the internet as I have a computer at home. He said that since I wasn't taking phones he would give me a gift of some kind of notebook that is still in the box because no one in the store could show me how to use it. He had told me they would. I told him that since I had optimum wi fi was free so I didn't need the connection. He assured me it was okay to use the optimum and that I wouldn't be charged. It has been 18 months and I have never used the "gift." My husband pays my bills and this past week I opened my bill to find I was charged $50 a month for broadband that I had never ordered. My husband did not know what broadband meant. I went to the store where I bought my phone from in Manalapan, NJ and was told the person who defrauded me no longer worked there and that i could not get a refund even though they checked and saw I never used it, I called your executive office and told the person my story and they were bordering on rudeness. When I told him that I have no contracts and could leave your company he was rude and certainly did not sound like a Customer Service Manager. In addition to my 6 phones, I have my business ads with Super Media.I spend at least $800 a month with your company. I think I am a customer you would want to keep. I suggested to your representative that if they could not refund money. that I would consider getting an i phone or blackberry if he would give me the 18 months credit on the internet connection. He told me I could take my business elsewhere. Is this your conpany policy to throw away a good customer.
