Letter of Deletion

Posted Mon July 9, 2012 3:31 pm, by Angela H. written to Verizon Wireless (Cell Phones)

Write a Letter to this Company  |  Rate this Company

I had Verizon Wireless for three years.Account number 8211934740XXXX. I was never late on a payment and was in good standing with the company. I then had knee surgery and was without a job. I still paid what I could and with all the harassing phone calls, I tried to set up a payment plan. I was paying a little each week when my cell phone was turned off. Although, a payment plan had been set up they turned my phone off anyway. I know a payment plan is short term but it was never discussed. It did take me awhile to pay off the debt of the cancellation charges. But I did pay it off in the full. Everytime I call Verizon Customer Service to inquire about a deletion letter, the employees are rude because they can't help me. I know this company does send out deletion letters and its been two years since I've paid it off. I'm in the process of getting a house and need this off my report. If you check the records before my phone was turned off, the bill was always paid on time. This is the only company that hasn't worke with me.

I would like Verizon Wireless to remove the charge off from all 3 major credit bureaus.

When you call Verizon Customer Service, who do you speak to? Is it a
customer service rep or a supervisor?

Customer service reps only have so much authority. Maybe only a
supervisor can send out a deletion letter, but it might be up to
Verizon Wireless policy whether or not you are eligible to receive one
based on certain factors.

I am curious as to why an employee is rude just because they cannot
help a customer. It could be that the employee simply does not have
the authority to do what the customer wants. But that does not mean
that the employee is rude.

Why should it be off your report? You didnt pay it on time, they had
to accomidate you.

A credit report is supposed to be a fair and honest view of your
credit history.

Instead of paying for an expensive plan why not put it on hold and go
buy a track phone til you were up and running (so to speak).
