I have had verizon for several years. I got the envy touch about 3 years ago. I had it replaced at least 3 times because it would constantly shut off on me especially while texting quickly. It was a glitch with this phone and apparently many LG phones.
The 3rd time I was away on vacation in florida and it shut off and wouldn't come back on. I was still within my 1 year warranty. I brought it in and I nicely asked for a new one, I had all the upgrades that are suppose to fix those errors but NEVER did! If anything it was a waste of my time and it made it worse or didn't do anything. I had to get pissed off and threaten to go to AT&T and get a new phone (they said I could renew my contract etc. etc.) I said why would I bother if I don't get taken care of here?! They finally replaced my phone after about 1 1/2 hrs and me being extremely pissed and ready to go to a new phone company.
This phone still had the same problem but I just lived with it. .. for 1 1/2 years now. I really need a more reliable phone and it isn't right that there aren't many options for basic phones. I can barely afford that, there is no way I will ever get a smart phone. I will get a prepaid or one of those cheap phone plans before I would ever waste money on that!! I have only 1 option to get for an upgrade that doesnt require a data pack plan and is free. It is of course a crappy LG and has bad ratings.
I went to the Newburgh store a few times but because they "couldn't make it repeat that with their test, they couldn't prove there was an issue and do anything about it"
The phone service is great and generally customer service is pretty good as well but I need a reliable phone. You guys are the most expensive company, you should have more reliable phones! And my family and I are really pissed that you're trying to push the data pack plans on people by making those phones almost the only option!
I would like Verizon to help me find a reliable phone that doesn't require a data pack plan and has a keyboard for texting , and exchange it with my crappy phone for free that they can refurbish or whatever they want to do with it.
