phone upgrade issue

Hello,

I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for over 10 years and have always had great customer support, have had great service, and have had great phones. I have 2 seperate accounts with 8 of the 10 lines as smart phones, and pay $500 a month, pocket change to verizon, but substantial for a individual for cell phones, and my payments are always paid on time if not early.

Recently Verizon announced they are going to a new data plan for family plans, shared data, and for those of us that are on the grandfathered unlimited data would not be able to upgrade at promotional pricing starting June 28th, and keep unlimited data.

I have called in 2 times to try to get a line that is not eligible for upgrade until November upgraded, and have been told no, that if I dont like it, the rep did not care if I took my $500 elsewhere, that is the way it is. One tried to tell me to just switch to the new plans since I dont use that much data in the first place, which I would if it would not cost me $40 a month more, pay more for less does not make sense.

I have no problem paying full retail or finding my phones elsewhere in the future to keep my unlimited data. But when verizon changes the rules so close to our upgrade date I would like to get one last upgrade at promo pricing and not treated like a criminal.

As I understand that I made a contract with verizon and still have time left on that contract that I have to honor it, but verizon is the ones that changed the policy on us

What I would like for verizon to do is allow me to upgrade the line one more time before the June 28th cut off, it was offered once before there is no reason it cant be offered again. Unfortunately the rep did not notate my account that I was offered a upgrade in January, I was offered to upgrade 2 lines, only did one line. I want to stay with verizon and plan on staying with verizon, but this one line could make me move on to another carrier. I understand I am under contract, but sometimes looking the other way means more to the customer and company relationship, and it boils down to upgrading a line I could have done 4 months ago.

Just a side note, I am not even trying to upgrade to the next new thing, I am trying to upgrade to the droid 4, a phone that has been around a while.
