Future Data Plans

To Whom it may concern,

I recently became aware that Verizon Wireless is planning to eliminate Unlimited Data for existing "grandfathered" uses upon the end of their existing contracts. Based on the Article I read Verizon claims that they cannot sustain unlimited data users, and this will be the best move for them in the long run. While I respect your move to preserve your business I cannot understand how you choose to do so on the backs of your current customers. I have received satisfactory service from Verizon for 8 years but I feel that as my contract ends this year I will choose to move my business to either Sprint or US Cellular. The replacement Verizon plan offers 2gbs for $30 which is what I am paying now, but with much less bandwidth. Sprint offers Unlimited Data for $30 per month and US Cellular offers 5gbs for $30 per month. Both of these options offer very similar services, and following Verizon's planned price increase will offer much better prices.

If Verizon is looking to fix future bandwidth issues it would be more beneficial to do so with new customers not current loyal ones. While I understand the need to control heavy bandwidth users from bogging down the network, I have NEVER exceeded 4gbs of Data. I understand that Verizon is offering 4gbs for $30 for a limited of time which would suit my needs, but who knows if this offer will still be available to me when my contact is up. I urge Verizon to sustain their unlimited Data Plan for current "grandfathered" users, at least for those who do not exceed 5gbs of Data.

Sincerely,

Chance Young
a loyal customer for 8years

I too agree that Verizon can come up with a better way to be MORE
profitable than getting it from the pockets of long time customers.
Let's hope they rethink this decision soon!!!

I disagree with the idea too.

from what I can tell they're just discontinuing the network itself i
think. although i my not have all the info on it.

that's their way around the "breaking contract" issue.

still yeah i think it's sucky
