When I first came into the store, I was greeted by someone that directed me to the right place which was nice. When I got to that section the employee there was not very friendly. I had a coupon for a free panty, and it was as if she is tired of seeing those. She did not smile once while I was getting help from her. Then, when I went to the counter to pay, there was a mix up with the coupons, and the sales associate was quite rude about it, and not willing to help me. She even rolled her eyes at me, blamed the problem on me, and said there was nothing she could do to help fix the problem. The employee next to her suggested that she ask a manager for help. The manager fixed the problem, but did not apologize once, and she was clearly annoyed too. They made me feel like their customers are not important to them, and I am very hesitant to go back. I may visit a Victoria's Secret store again, but not the one in Eugene, Oregon, because I have never been impressed with their customer service.
I would like to hear what Victoria's Secret customer service policies are, and I would like the Eugene, Oregon store to be reminded of these policies so that future shoppers are not treated the same way.

Basically, you, as the customer, should make sure that you have the right product. I know that the "free panty" cards change from month to month, and I make sure that I read the back carefully. Then, I take my daughter in at a non-busy time. (We left a Milwaukee mall VS when only one check-out area was open, and the line was about 12 people long. Nobody needs underwear THAT badly. We had other merchandise in our hands, too.)
You did the right thing by asking the first representative where you should go to find the free panty. The person back there should have at least pointed to the right selection--generally, cotton and in basic colors(neutrals, black, white). If you were there at a busy time, perhaps she had had "disagreements" with customers already that day. Same with the reps at the checkout. I'd guess that they had had some "disagreements" with customers already, and maybe wished the company would print in huge letters on the front: "White. Cotton. Granny Briefs."
I've heard people argue with VS personnel, when the coupon is actually very, very specific. Cotton. Certain colors--they're actually listed. Certain styles--again, actually listed. With or without lace trim--seems to vary.
If the store is close to your home, you might try to go on another day. A less busy day. You can also use the coupon online.
If I seem to be on VS's side here--I've heard enough customers argue with sales personnel about what's CLEARLY stated on the back of the coupon. As someone waiting in line--I'm tired of it. Read the darned coupon and pick out the right thing in the first place. If the lines are long--leave and come back. It's not worth a $7 panty.
My daughter and I picked out the wrong pair for a free pair ONCE. We've learned to READ the back of the coupon when we get into the store, show the coupon to the first employee who greets us, and read it again at the proper section.
