Kudos to ViewSonic

In September of 2005 we purchased a 17 inch ViewSonic monitor. Within a year (and within the warranty period) we began having trouble with the on/off switch - you had to play with it several times to get it to work. You sent us a new monitor and I sent the old one back. Several months later (but after the warranty was over on the original monitor) the same thing happened. My husband wrote to Dana Brzozkiewicz and Duane Brozek in customer relations - he wrote that even if it was still under warranty, why would we want another one.

That same day, we received a call from Nick, a supervisor in the warranty division. Not only are you sending us a new 19 inch monitor, you are also providing the shipping fees to ship the old monitor back.

This tells me that you are a company that stands behind your products. You have not only gained a customer for life, but I will be sure to recommend your company to anyone I know who is in the market for a monitor.

Kudos to ViewSonic - a company that knows what customer service is!

You can be sure they never received their replacement monitor.
Viewsonic is famous for placating customers by phone and not following
through. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of complaints about
that very scam with Viewsonic all across the internet. If these
people really did receive a replacement, they might be the first in
history. Because their letter was written prior to receiving the
replacement, I'd really like to hear a follow up. A nickel says that
to this day they still haven't gotten their replacement.
