Issue with you cancellation policy

I subscribed to the Vonage VOIP phone system on the 26th of January, 2006 with a one free month offer. You have a policy that required a $40 disconnection fee if you terminate the service before 1 year of service has been completed. I completed that year of service and called to cancel the service. I was then told I would have to pay for one additional month (January 26 - February 26) to qualify for the "no disconnection fee". I argued that I had already served the full year with the program and did not want to pay for a month of service that I didn't want. They said there was nothing they could do, I would be billed for the month with no recourse.

In addition, I had spoken to a representative on the 5th of December indicating that I wanted to cancel. The lady at that time offered me the service at a discounted fee of $19.95 per month and told me to keep it until the 26th of January since I would then not incur a disonnect fee nor would there be any additional charges.

When I called today, I was told that information was in error and she shouldn't have told me that.

Refund the months bill for the service from January 26 through February 26.

How much do pay per month? $25? Suck up the additional month, enjoy
the service (make a TON of calls to the European countries that are
included), and then be rid of them.
