I was screwed by Vonage

I paid my bill at the beginning of the month and decided to cancel. When I attempted to cancel I was told that I would be charged 39.00 to cancel. So on top of the 32.00 service charge that I paid for the beginning of the month I was hosed for 39.00 to cancel. I was told that Vonage does not pro-rate and I was just SOL. I told the representative that I wanted to speak to her manager and was put on hold indefinitely. On top of getting screwed with bad service I was screwed for leaving. I will never do business with Vonage again.

I want my money back. I want to not be left on hold indefinitely and then after waiting 20 minutes was told Veronica in the Philippines did not have time to speak with me. I feel totally screwed over by Vonage.

You cancelled before your term was up so, yes, you have to pay a fee.
$39 is cheap, consider yourself lucky.

"Screwed" and "SOL."

Yeah, Dennis, you're a grown up. If so, then I have a bridge to sell
you.

You may be angry, but "screwed" and "SOL" are profane and have no
business is a business letter.

It is right there on their site.

"Vonage will apply a $39.99 disconnect fee to each line that is
canceled within two years of being activated. If you cancel within the
Money Back Guarantee period of 30 days, return your device within 14
days of your cancellation, and satisfy the other conditions of our
Money Back Guarantee the disconnect fee on the initial line ordered
will be refunded."

If you don't fall under the MBG period, you are going to have to pay
the disconnect fee. And you can't blame them for you not canceling
your account before the next billing cycle.

Suck it up, that's how things are run these days, like it or not.
