I recently received a Walmart gift card as a christmas gift. Apparently someone used the card # AFTER I activated it, and the card has never been out of my possession. I called the # on the back, and was told to call my local store. I did that and was told that the purchase was made at a Walmart with the store# 9115.. which is NOT a Walmart store. I was told to call Sam's. I did and was told it's NOT a Sam's store!

WTF? and why can't Walmart trace these transactions better? I'm appalled at the LACK OF customer service Walmart offers. Even getting on the website is tiring and frustrating.

WALMART - Take your business and STAY overseas! The US thinks you SUCK!

Find out where this store # is coming from and find out who is stealing money off my gift card. You want to connivence me not to go to Target, (a young white wealthy women with kids) you gotta do better than this.

I got a gift card for one of my mentally retarded clients for
Christmas and when he tried to use it, he was told that there was no
balance on it. I took the card back to Walmart and they said the
balance was used on December 26. He had been home with family on that
day and didn't get the card until late that night. The card was used
at store #9115, the non-existant store. I am not going to buy Walmart
gift cards for my clients anymore.

it. i went to the store with the receipt and they said it was used at
that store number...

I bought gift cards for my kids for Christmas and two of them have
been used at this Store# 9115 also. The cards NEVER left my sight and
I NEVER used them by mistake. I bought the cards on 12/11, someone
used them on 12/14. WALMART BETTER REFUND MY MONEY... THE CARDS
SILVER STRIP HIDING THE PIN NUMBER HAS NEVER BEEN SCRATCHED OFF. SO
WHOEVER STOLE THE MONEY ON THESE TWO CARDS MUST HAVE SCANNED THEM WITH
A HAND SCANNER AND PUT THE CARDS BACK ON THE RACK FOR SOMEONE TO
PURCHASE AND THEY WAITED FOR THEM TO BE ACTIVATED.
WALMART BETTER FIND A WAY TO TRACE WHO IS DOING THIS CRAP!!!!! I
CAN'T AFFORD TO HAVE MY MONEY STOLEN AND THESE WERE GIFTS TO MY KIDS.

We just bought 4 Wal-Mart gift cards for the kids. Each was activated
at the register. The receipt showed the activation for each card. We
will cut the receipt into 5 parts (so we keep the payment info) and
send each card with its activation info. Proof of activation is
important if a problem arises. Locate the receipt for this information
and you should be able to solve the problem.

Didn't the purchaser have to activate it before it left the store?
Ask the person who gave you the Christmas gift, to provide the receipt
for you. That should help clear things up.

If the gift giver also uses Wal-Mart gift cards, it could be that
he/she inadvertently used the wrong one. Or, perhaps a
child/spouse/roommate snuck it out of the bag/purse/wallet.

When I buy gift cards, I keep the receipt until the recipient has
successfully used the card.

Talk to the person who gave you the gift. There may be a very easy
way to clear this up.

You had me in agreement with you until the young white wealthy women
with kids. This matters how? Do you think this will make them try any
harder to help you with your problem?
