A Well Handled Exchange

I have a long overdue compliment. The idea to take the time to express my appreciation is admittedly late in coming, so it's possible you will be unable to pass my kudos along to the appropriate individual. But better late than never.
My husband went into store #1521 on Colerain Ave in Cincinnati, OH in December and purchased, among other things, a Eureka Altima bagless vacuum. When he got it home we removed the tape sealing the box and initially saw a product flyer lying on top of a large piece of styrofoam holding the vacuum in place. However, when we removed the styrofoam, we noticed a very dusty dirty product inside. Long story short, what we found inside was someone's ancient Hoover, not the nice new Eureka we thought we purchased. Someone had bought the Eureka and apparently returned it with their old vaccum inside, placing styrofoam over it and sealing the box.
The entire way back to the store I was extremely nervous. I had no way to prove that the vacuum wasn't ours and I thought it was very likely we'd simply be out $80. However, at the store, after subjecting me to an understandable amount of skepticism, your manager allowed me to get another Eureka box (which we opened in the store!) and to walk out with the product we paid for.
This could have been an unpleasant situation in which my husband and I were forced to pay for the dishonesty of others. Instead, Wal-Mart chose to trust in our honesty. My only suggestion would be that workers be reminded even during the busy holiday season to thoroughly check all returns before restocking.
Thank you, and keep up the good work.
