Wal-Mart Stores is an irresistible (or at least unavoidable) retail force that has yet to meet any immovable objects. Bigger than Europe's Carrefour, Tesco, and Metro AG combined, it is the world's #1 retailer, with about 6,775 stores, including some 1,075 discount stores, 2,250 combination discount and grocery stores (Wal-Mart Supercenters in the US and ASDA in the UK), and 580 warehouse stores (SAM'S CLUB). About 60% of its stores are in the US, but Wal-Mart is expanding internationally; it is the #1 retailer in Canada and Mexico. It also owns a 95% stake in Japanese retailer SEIYU. Wal-Mart also has operations in Asia, Europe, and South America. Founder Sam Walton's heirs own about 40% of Wal-Mart. |

Today I took my car to the WalMart store in Ozark, Alabama to get it serviced. When I went to pick up the car the technician told me that they could not change the oil because I have a massive oil leak with oil all over the engine and the oil level was overfilled. I checked the car at home. There is no oil leak. There is a little oil on the engine which is normal for a 12 year old car. None of...

On March 11, 2010 I went to the Wal-Mart located at 8030 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, Texas.
I had picked up some Wal-Mart brand diaper wipes for sensitive skin (in the light blue package). There were several on the shelf so I just picked up one and went about finishing my shopping. When I get to the front and am checking out the cashier tells me that I can not separate the wipes and that they...

Hello. My 41-year-old daughter just returned from one of your stores. She got a ride there with the 20-year-old friend of my grandson because she did did not feel like driving due to extreme pain caused by moving furniture and boxes. She decided to buy a bottle of wine. Since when is it legal to refuse to sell a bottle of wine to a legal adult just because they are accompanied by a minor? ...

Sirs,
In the past four years, between the two cars I own, I have had five Walmart auto battery's fail.
This failure rate is quite unacceptable. None of the battery's went longer than twenty months and several failed with in as little as one year of service. Having a three year replacement warranty does little good when ones battery fails far from home and late in the evening. Both cars have...
