Walmart...while you bask in the sun and enjoy all the money you rake in from mostly us middle to lower income families...please realize that it is us, not you that pays the wages of everyone that works there. I see no reason for you to not return to the good ole days of "layaway". This will increase your sales greatly since you'd be the only large department store that would offer that wonderful and kind plan to those of us that are strapped for cash on large purchaces. Look into your heart and soul oh mighty CEO of Walmart and rememeber from whence and where you came. Have some mercy on those of us that would love to give our children and grandchildren a nice Christmas. Is it that hard to do such a kind justice for us? Again...if memory serves me...didn't you all fall short of what you'd normally take in durning the holidays last year? You'd not only be doing us a favor but you'd certainly be doing one for yourselves too. Remember Target and KMart are still around. KMart offers layaway. I'm sure you could outdo them. Search your heart and remember us this year and allow us to help you out while you do good things for our kids and families.Storage can't be a problem...you used those temporary storage trailers in the unused lawn and garden empty parking lots. Think of how our President would feel. I think he'd be quite happy to see that a business was actually out there to help us and not put the screws to us. Times are hard but in a case like this...I'm sure we'd both come out good. You would certainly put a hurting on the other department stores come this holiday season. Please...bring back the good ole days for those of us that haven't got a lot of money. Thank you.

Hi my name is stacy perry Im the founder and president of 123 layaway
corp. I just wanted to tell everyone that walmart is not bring there
layaway back. There make to much money on there walmart debit card.

But 123 Layaway is a third party layaway service provider that will
allow you to put walmarts products in layaway.
Its easy.

1. Customer picks the product at the store or online. You call
customer service at 1-866-867-1199 or there is a start a layaway link
on the home page.

2. Give the customer service rep the product number or upc or name of
the product. The customer service will ask you if you want to pay by
credit card or money order if you pay your 25.00 or 10% of the product
price with a credit card we will buy the product and secure it for the
customer while your on the phone. That product is then shipped to one
of the 7 warehouses that we have until the product is paid for. If you
choose to pay by money order we would wait to purchase the product
until the money order is recieved..

3. Pay on the layaway for up to 12 weekly payments (90 days) after the
final payment is made the product ships the next business day to your
home.

Its that easy now everyone can enjoy shopping with layaway at walmart,
target or any other major department store.

Our website is www.123layaway.com

We are now accepting christmas layaways

I would rather shop wal-mart but this year k-mart will get my
christmas buisness... because using lay away is an option other than
credit cards

I don't have a lot of money either. I live off a total of less than
$700 a month. I start my Christmas shopping in February. I spend no
more than $20.00 on each of my four grandkids, who are now
teenagers/young adults. I give my married daughter and her husband a
$40.00 gift card for WalMart, and a spend $40.00 on the mentally
disabled daughter who lives with me. I have been done with my
shopping for at least a month.

Yes, I did use layaway when WalMart had it, but if they brought it
back, they wouldn't have a place to use when people order from their
website and use the site to store delivery, which saves shipping
costs. I use that quite often because there are things that I want
that isn't in the local stores, and there are things that it is just
plain more convenient for me to order online and have shipped to the
store, because I use their electric carts when I shop.

I really miss Lay a Way myself. It seems so few stores have it these
days. That one of the reasons why I shop at Kmart mecause they still
have it. At least my local Kmart does. I've heard some Kmart's no
longer have it.

as a ex wal-mart employee i can tell you ! the company does not care
about its customers and they got rid of layaway because they want all
their customers to have wal-mart credit cards!!!! they make a ton of
money off these things just for people applying whether they get
approved or not! so they got rid of the hassle they had with layaway
and took the easy way out that effected their customers wallets even
harder, because i can tell you from personal experience the interest
rates kill you on their credit cards!

Instead of trying to get layaway back, which isn't likely to happen,
try to find other ways to put money aside so you're ready for special
occasion shopping.

I have a "holiday club" account at the credit union I belong to(used
to be called Christmas club). Instead of spending change from
breaking dollars, I wrap it all up and deposit it in this account. I
also send in a fair amount of rebates/refunds during the year and all
those tiny checks go in the account as well. Over the course of the
year the balance builds up and I usually have at least $250 to spend
on Christmas.

Holiday clubs don't earn much interest and if you withdraw the money
early you lose all the interest you did earn as a penalty, but they
are a great way to help pay for holidays.

If your bank doesn't offer holiday clubs, try opening a separate
savings account for holiday savings. If you're really tempted to spnd
saved money, try opening a savings acount at a bank other than your
regular bank and have direct deposits go into it.

I think Kmart has layaway! About the same difference.. Save your money
back each week or how ever you get paided and you will have enough
money to get your items for Christmas or what ever in no time! Tighten
down on the money you spend, most things you don't need anyway!
My Grandpa told me "If you can't pay cash you can't afford it nor do
you need it! Wow has that helped me in my life! I have what most
people have and don't owe a dime except utilities and such! Thanks
Grandpa Oh yea I would not hold my breath that walmart will listen!
They have it all figured out threw research to take your money! It's a
science to them how to separate your money from you! and it really
works too:)

let me tell you about walmart and their layaway.when my son was 8 yrs
old he wanted a bike that looked like a harley for xmas.I put it on
layaway and paid all but $5.00 for. When I went to get the bike I was
told it had been pulled from the back.Seems an employees son wanted
the same bike and she took it.I know this because a friend that worked
there told me.there was nothing I could do.my son didnt get his bike
and was very upset as was I.I would NEVER put anything in layaway
again.Since my last incident there I will NEVER shop there again
either.I got ripped off for 300 bucks buying jewelry that wasnt real.I
was sold 14kgold diamond earrings that turned black and walmart wont
replace them or give me my money back.

Ah yes, desperate, like trying to get rid of the thousands of items
that are not picked up out of layaway and cannot be returned to the
manufacturer. WM gets those deals by one time offers, those items
generally cannot be returned so WM sits on millions of dollars of
product they can't sell or they sit on millions of dollars of product
in their stores that may or may not be picked up customers.
I miss layaway also but removal of it makes complete sense.

If you need a store with layaway, shop a store with layaway.

Thats how business works... Walmart decided that layaway was not
profitable enough, consider storage, staff, ordering, people
cancelling halfway through, or not even coming back for their
stuff...... Walmart may have fallen short of 2008 sales expectations,
but they are a booming business with the economy in the crapper (i
know that cliche is getting old), but as a walmart employee, i can
tell you that were better off without it. watch these other companies
over the next few years, one the economy has been doing well for a
couple years, layaway will go away again. As i recall, just as walmart
did away with layaway, they started pushing their credit card with
that no interest deal, but thats another can of worms...

Not to beat a dead horse, this was quite an issue when WM did away
with layaway.....

But please, tell me the Finacial difference between saving $20 a week
at home towards a purchase, and giving WM $20 a week? Because as I
see it, there is no real difference, other than if you do layaway,
that $20 is not as easily obtained for an impulse purchase. Instead
of taking the $20 out of the cookie jar, you have to go to WM and fill
out paperwork to get that $20.

I'm not a fan of Layaway, and can't see the point of it. But then
again, I'm able to budget and save accordingly.
