I've had my WaMu card for one year and always pay my bill on time. Today I recieved a letter in the mail stating that I qualified for my APR to be lowered from 9.99% to 7.99% on future purchases made thru May 5th 2008. Last weekend I purchased a new dining room set and a television totaling $3,000. The review of my account and decision to lower the APR by WaMu were made on February 1st 2008. I called WaMu this evening to ask that the rate be retroactive include my recent purchase and was told this is not company policy. I have other cards to choose from but use this one because of the online convience. I'm disapointed that the representative was not willing to help me adjust the APR on my most recent purchases. It is a 9 day difference for a loyal customer. This decision made by your customer service representative will make me think twice about using this card in the future.

I'm asking that WaMu lower my APR from 9.99% to 7.99% to include my prior purchases.

The interest rate wouldn't matter if people just saved their money and
bought with cash instead of going into debt for nonessentials. But
hey, that's just me.

Nine days is just that, nine days. It clearly says future purchases.
Besides, 9.99% is nothing to complain about.
