Auto Finance customer no-service

I accidentally made an extra payment through my billpayer for a wells fago auto loan. After talking to customer service at Wells Fargo, they assured me they would refund it and I should get a check within a week or so, After a week and a half I got a letter saying they were denying a refund, saying I had not provided correct documentation, I resubmitted the documentation and now they say they are denying my request saying it was not their fault so they do not have to refund this. All this left my bank account at -183.00 for two weeks. If they had said no at the beginning I would not be so angry but to be led on for two weeks and then blown off. By the time I can get anything done now the new payment will be due. I will never do business with Wells Fargo ever again. Their customer no-service sucks.

Refund my overpayment of $641.00 and make their policies consistent.

they are going to apply it to next month's payment at this point,
since you say "By the time I can get anything done now the new payment
will be due".

Can you find out if they will do that? The issue would be if the bill
payer can be stopped from making the next payment.

I understand this made your checking go negative - you might chalk
this up to a bad mistake and make sure not to let it happen again.

So they are keeping your money and not even applying it to the next
payment? Is that legal? I'll bet if they ever give you money by
mistake, they'll end out the posse to retrieve it!

I hope you get your money back, one way or another.
