NOT SURE IF THE ITEM BELONG TO THE STORE

Posted Sun July 12, 2009 11:53 am, by Phyllis d. written to www.walmart.com/ Cloverdale Branch

I went to the R.I. Warwick branch Walmart, and I went to the clearence area. When I picked up a car bank, but it had the cover where the money drops missing, and it was alittle dirty. The evening asst. manager told me that he would check on how much it would cost. He had me waiting for at least fifteen min.So I told one of the workers that I don't have the time to wait any longer, and I'll be back. So finally the assit. manager came out of a room, aND TOLD ME THAT HE DIDN'T THINK THIS BANK CAME FROM HIS STORE.bUT HE WANTED MA TO PAY $1.00 FOR IT. i REPLIED YOU STATED THAT THIS BANK DOESN'T COME FROM YOUR STORE, AND YOU WANT TO CHARGE ME $1.00. tHEN YOU SHOULD GIVE IT AWAY FOR FREE, AND i LEFT THE area.

I'VE BEEN A GOOD CUSTOMER SINCE YOU OPENED THE nEW eNGLAD STORES. i WILL NOT SHOP AT ANY OF YOUR STORES AS MUCH. i MIGHT GO LESS THAN THREE TIMES A MONTH, AND I'M GOING TO PROMISE YOU, WHICH YOURCOMPANY WILL LOSE ALOT OF BUSINESS. yOU WILL ALSO NOTICE THE FIGURES WILL DROP, BECAUSE YOU TOOK THE MATERIAL DEPARTMENT OUT.

Well, it probably means that someone threw a hissy fit at the service
desk and they returned the item even though they didn't think it
belonged to the store. So they lost money on it.; They didn't know
what to do with an item so they stuck it in clearance. A dollar is a
great deal.

So who even wants to buy a broken, dirty, cheap bank?

Hmmm... Maybe it wasn't in the computer, so he thought it did not
belong in the store. $1 sounds like a pretty good deal.

OK, this is a new one on me! So you're saying that because he said it
did not come from his store that you should get it for free????

Let me ask you this, how much WOULD you have been willing to pay for
it before the manager said he didn't think it was from his store?
